tiny bit relieved that redditors mentioned that yes, that starter level sucks ass difficulty wise and actually gets much easier later. :D;; i didn't even know you could choke out soldiers?? and forgot about hiding in lockers???

intrigued at liquid snake ngl, he feels... krad bait shaped.......

anyway, spending today's PTO on MGS, the coolest damn old-web rabbit hole of this transmasc/queer film archive -> the site creator's mastodon -> this web theory collective(?) borne out of one of the longest running mailing lists since the nineteen EIGHTIES??

I don't remember too much of what happened in my dream last night, other than I read out a piece I wrote in front of a group (a "biopic" or whatever it was?), and as I made to leave, a "critic" (wearing glasses, sported a moustache, had a... golf hat? or whatever you call that on, checkered sleeveless shirt on top of a long white-sleeve shirt... blue?), stopped me, held me by the shoulders, and said to me, in a positive tone:

"Hey, so, I read your biopic! And it was so interesting that I had nothing interesting to say! Oh, and your other performance was great, too."

AND THEN HE PATTED ME ON THE SHOULDER AND SMILED AND LEFT

What does that even MEAN, dream critic???

I suppose I found it interesting enough to write about it, in any case!

Title: colorful flight
Theme: Rainbow (for the current Amnesty)
Fandom: Kirby (video game series) - particularly Kirby's Dream Land 2. (Mods please tag as Kirby.)
Rating: PG
Content notes: It might be a tiny bit bright to look at due to the special effects.. Uhhh, eyestrain warning.
Artist notes: This.. prolly won't be the only Kirby artwork I do for the current Amnesty. It's my Kirby Era right now and I tend to draw more than write when it comes to this fandom, haha.. Dream Land 2 was not my personal first Kirby game, but it does contain great chiptunes and some of my favorite NPCs! :D
Summary: Within a more modern, colorful means, Kirby restores the magical bridges between the Rainbow Islands with the aid of the Rainbow Sword, cheerful to restore the lost colors.

Chapter 172:
The cover! ☺️

I don't know why but I wasn't expecting Kiryuu's house to be so traditional.

Suou: "Sakura-kun's too busy being nervous about going to a friend's home for the first time. He hasn't even registered the big house yet."

Sakura stop being cute for one second challenge failed. 🤣

Kiryuu has his own little house outside of the main house because he doesn't like them.

Whoa, a mini Sakura backstory flashback?! Ah, no wonder he's used to living in a small/spare space...

Chapter 173-174:

I'm torn between excitement at getting Kiryuu backstory and rage at his father. Sakura literally had to be held back from confronting him.

Lmao of course Tsugeura is so honest he has to blurt out that that they heard everything.

Chapter 175: Sakura showed Kiryuu where Akari works and they saw that the icky guy was there too, so they followed him and yep he's planning something nasty.

Kiryuu and Akari talk and Akari plans on moving out, good for her. Kiryuu realizes how stupid he's been assuming things, not that he knew what she was doing in secret until now. I hope he follows her path someday.

Chapter 176: Aww I'm so happy we get Sakura and Kiryuu one on one interaction like this. "Now I get to fight alongside you, just the two of us. It's an honor, Sakura-chan."

I hope Sakura gives Kiryuu the pillow after this.

Shishitouren Special: Wanijima is in the manga at last! Wanijima leaving definitely contributed to Chouji's change. I need to catch up on the side story in the manga.

Band AU illustration!! Damn, Sakura's singing his heart out. X'D

Well, that's a first...

A year ago I was getting feedback on my new reports (still very proud of those) and being given more work to do, looking forward to Ghost of Yotei (loved it!) and Wednesday (didn't get far with that), and watching Andrew Garfield's 'Who do you think you are?'.

Today I got the penultimate batch of slides for my virtual pilgrimage. I think I'm going to miss it when I'm done.

After breakfast, I headed over to the Cathedral for Graduation. Somehow there was a mix-up between the seating plan and seating cards - never had a problem like that in 25 years of helping at Graduation. But it brought some excitement to the morning and we got them all across the stage, OK.

Then I headed to the office to meet a colleague who is, for want of a better word, my mentee. They've got a great idea for a regular podcast to showcase the area they work in but they're struggling to make it happen - but they've made a lot of progress. They're also from another country and I can't express how much I admire them travelling so far and making a life here. They were describing how their accent sometimes works against them - but also the difficulty they have in understanding UK accents!

LM and a colleague from one of the dev teams has solved the mystery of calendars in P4W! We've now got a 'project calendar' with bank holidays and closure dates in. Then individuals go in and put their own holidays in. That's one thing I like about LM - their sheer bloody-minded persistence :D

I managed to scrape up an hour's AI activity - some articles and a podcast - then headed home early so we could have tea in a civilised manner before my church meeting. My clematis duo and wallflower seeds arrived today, and the acer and geranium should be with us in the next couple of days.

The evening meeting went really well, despite Zoom threatening to cut us off after 40 minutes. We got all the JDs farmed out and I'm going to write up the notes. The really weird thing was that I (the host) couldn't record but the guests could! So, the person from the Diocese is going to send me the recording.

Now I'm finishing the day with a couple of episodes of Doctor Who.

bluapapilio: Characters from Men of the Harem webtoon (MotH guard and consort)

Chapter 25: Someone left a mark from an assassin's guild 'The Black Forest' on the house where Latil's dad is buried.

How does Sonnaught know so much about The Black Forest??

Sonnaught getting so mad on Latil's half about the letter found. How could it even remotely be Latil's fault for her father's death, she wasn't even there.

I appreciate Sonnaught knowing what Latil needs and sparring with her.

Chapter 26: I love how Sonnaught read Latil's face. XD

What do you mean you want Latil to rub on your handkerchief where you can't see Sonnaught.

Ranamun is so petty I swear. 😅

Guesta's man is named Trie.

Chapter 27: Did someone in the harem really throw a rock at Guesta? It just seems so...lowlife.

Tasir knows about Hyacinth though no details, he tries to get more out of Klein but Klein is Klein. I really want him to find out about Latil and Hyacinth already.

Chapter 28: Hyacinth tried to commission The Black Forest to kill Prince Heium but they didn't want to get involved with royalty.

Tasir admits to overseeing The Black Forest. I had forgotten about it. The emperor starting from the first one gave them approval to operate.

Chapter 29: Latil's father was investigating her right before his death, so Tasir didn't tell her about his organization right away..

Why does Tasir keep making digs at Sonnaught? 🤔 "if you say so" to Latil saying he was most trusted to her, glancing at him when talking about not being beholden to the throne and talking about it being a partnership.

Chapter 30: I'm curious what Tasir wanted when he told Latil to treat him as her man. She was already planning on 'sleeping' with him.

Ah Latil, you can't just go and ask Sonnaught why he's not married yet. 😭 And right after that blow about not being chatty!

Chapter 31: It makes it more painful that Latil has no reaction to Sonnaught saying he has someone he loves besides 'where did he find the time'.

It's nice to see the consorts in the same room not arguing, except Tasir picking on Carlein lol

Now someone poured water on Guesta, Trie made accusations so Klein attacked him. Half of what Trie said was true though, especially the vapid part.

A year ago I was grateful that an appointment was cancelled, still worrying about Stepfather, finding some extra leave, doing some actual writing, watching Old Who, and mourning Pope Francis.

Today started with some more pilgrimage pages - only two batches left to do. I'm taking the time to reflect on the virtual experience rather than the readings, which was what I focussed on during Lent.

Then I parked myself downstairs to do some work because I was expecting a delivery between 9.30 and 11.30am. 12pm came and I had to come upstairs for a work meeting, but Husband offered to keep his ear out. During the work thing, I got an email from Royal Mail saying my parcel had somehow been diverted to Crewe! When the meeting was done, I went down to get my dinner and told Husband not to worry because it wouldn't turn up today. No sooner was I back upstairs when there was a knock - and the special feed for my acer arrived. Royal Mail are getting weirder.

I did the next async unit for the AI programme, which I found slightly less irritating than the first one. Either I'm more comfortable with the subject matter or I was just in a better mood today. But it was asking questions I don't think most people could answer, like how is our data configured and stored. I only have a vague idea because I overhear conversations between immediate colleagues. How would someone from, say, student recruitment know?

This evening was a worship planning meeting, which finished in good time. It was really more of a retrospective on Lent/Easter, some conversation around service pattern, and people marking down the Sunday's they can't do! We left a couple of the clergy to draw up the actual rota :D

And I have to say the RC church is continuing to do an excellent job with its Pope selection.
